Writing
Small SaaS for Brazil still deserves real ops
Local products do not become less technical because they serve smaller teams or narrower markets.
What I keep seeing
There is a tendency to treat smaller SaaS products as if they only need UI and a checkout page. In practice, even small products quickly hit the same system edges: auth, billing, quotas, uploads, webhooks, retries, and support workflows.
What changes in the Brazilian context
The constraints become more local:
- Mercado Pago instead of Stripe
- WhatsApp in the core workflow
- mixed device quality
- teams that need pragmatic tools, not enterprise process overhead
What I want my portfolio to show
I like building products in that space because the systems work is concrete. The best projects are the ones where business workflow and engineering concerns are tightly connected.
